June 10, 11, 12, 2005--Jim Pollock on location paintings and sketches of Arrowhead Park

Jim Pollock along with nearly 30 other South Dakota Plein Air Artists (SDPAA) gathered at Arrowhead Park in Sioux Falls, South Dakota June 10, 11 and 12 to paint and sketch on location.

Saturday night, June 11 after a reception at Craftsman Creek Art Gallery, SDPAA gathered at Minervas Restaurant to socialize and have a good time.

Sunday morning the artists were hosted and invited by Dale Weir to visit his Guest House which has a scenic overview of Arrowhead Park looking east. The guest house is currently not open to the public. Sunday afternoon the artists displayed their sketches and paintings from the Arrowhead Park plein air outing to the public at the Horsebarn Arts Center in Falls Park.

South Dakota Plein Air Artists (SDPAA) was formed in 2004 to provide a forum for regional artists and enthusiasts who share a passion for Plein Aire art. SDPAA is an informal organization open to anyone. Membership is predicated upon an interest in the art of outdoor painting and sketching. participants range from professionals, students to amateurs.
