2006S/Pro CHAMPION

The Oahe Speedway Awards Ceremony and Volunteer Appreciation Banquet held November 18th, marked the end of the 2006 racing season. (Above) Track Owner, Milt Morris, presents the Season Super Pro Championship Trophy Rock to John Hines, who drove the Hinesite dragster to the winners circle in the last seven races of the season. Five first place finishes and two runner up spots. We really never discussed the championship, during the season, Hines said. “At one point we knew we were the points leader, but we knew that could change at any time. After the track announced on Labor Day, that we were the points winner, then we got excited. Our goal the whole season was just to have fun and try not to break anything. Winning the championship, made the whole year truly special “
