Most of my early photos were taken by digiscoping. To learn more about digiscoping, just type the word into any internet search engine and you will find everything you want to know. My equipment consists of a Pentax PF-80ED spotting scope and a Nikon 4500 Coolpix camera. Most of the time I use a fixed power eyepiece, a Pentax XL-21. A cable shutter release and an adaptor to connect the camera to the scope helps to steady the shot. A sturdy tripod and a window mount for the spotting scope are essential. Digiscoping allows one to take good quality photos without having to buy very expensive equipment.In 2005,  I purchased a Canon EOS 20D and a Canon  EF 300mm f2.8 telephoto. The quality of photos taken with this system are superior to digiscoped photos.  My recent photos taken with this equipment can be found at my new website at
