Prairie Rattlesnakes Moving to Winter Dens

On warm fall days in October rattlesnakes are often found in winter denning areas in high abundance. It can be a little unnerving to realize the number of snakes present in some of these areas. Today was one of those days, when I saw a lot of rattlesnakes in one prairie dog colony.
